چکیده

H M-H. organised the Bristol regional conference. presentation at Bristol WfjQ was a conference of 40 representatives of the various social agencies in Bristol Cou dea' with children "at risk"; such as the Children's Department, the Juvenile V0|u' the Probation Department, Child Guidance Clinics, Approved Schools, beD'ntary Agencies, the Education, Maternity and Child Welfare and Housing I>rofartments of the Bristol County Council, the Professor of Mental Health, and the tlje ess?r of Child Health of Bristol University, and the women police. One missed HPresence ?f psychiatrists from the mental hospitals, who are concerned in this cimder because of the importance of the mental illness of the mother resulting in fam;>ren being taken into care; also the matrons and staffs of children's homes, and doctors. ll[)jv r?fessor A. V. Neale, M.D., F.R.C.P. (Professor of Child Health, Bristol ^ty), opened the meeting, saying that it represented an association of different Vl ? struggling with the same problem. He made the valuable point that t(iere nd is in many ways the main centre of social advance in the world, though child are suggestions that Denmark now excels in the management of illegitimate and children in care of the State.
